The boy catches the kite
It was a sunny day and a boy walked in the stone street, while he walked , he saw something different in the sky : a shining white kite. Suddenly the kite was falling down and the boy ran in order to catch it.
The twinkling kite fell in the top of a lamppost. It was seized to the light bulb that seemed to be lit n the hight of daylight, such was the kind of its shining light. The youngster went up in the pole and after some time he got the shining pipe. He was astonished for the pipe showed all its wizardry and its brightness. Soon he takes it and puts it in air one more time. In the same day there it is, shining in the sky and enchanting other people.
Moral: When seeing something that shines, that enchants you, places this in a prominence place, up there, so that everybody can see the enchanted thing and be enchanted too.

O rapaz pega a pipa
Era um dia de sol e o rapaz caminhava pela rua das pedras. Quando caminhava, ele viu algo diferente no céu : uma brilhante pipa branca. De repente a pipa estava caindo e o rapaz correu para pegá-la.
A pipa cintilante caiu em cima de um poste com lâmpada. A pipa ficou agarrada na lâmpada que parecia estar acesa em plena luz do dia, tamanha a cintilante irradiação de brilho que mostrava. O jovem subiu no poste e logo pegou a pipa. Estava encantado pela sua magia e brilho. Logo ele pega a pipa e a põe logo no ar. Logo lá está ela brilhando de novo no céu e encantando as pessoas.
Moral : Quando você ver algo que brilha, que te encanta, ponha-a em um lugar de destaque, lá em cima, a fim de que todas as pessoas possam vê-la e se encantem também.

The thirsty girl
It was a sunny day ( as it is used to be in Búzios ). After playing almost all day long with her little friends, a little girl named Martha, was thirsty. At that time there was no stone street. Only a little narrow way linked the place that Martha was to the little fishermen"s village called Búzios. She looked for a fountain but there was none in the sorroundings. Martha walked alone for sometime. Then she saw a woman dressed in white, smiling at her. The woman stood up still and questioned her : Are you thirsty, little girl ? Martha answered promptly : Yes, ma'am ...
Where can I drink water ? The smiling gentle woman said : Go ahead my dear, you will see a fountain in your way ... Martha thanked the lady and soon found the fountain. When Martha turned back to see the lady, there was no one there. The gentle woman disappeared. Martha drank a lot of water and went back to advise her friends that there was a fountain in that walkway. Everybody knew that there was no fountain there before. But Martha showed them the place and everybody was surprised when she told them the story.
Moral : In time of thirsty, somebody you don't know, will give you a not only a glass but a drinking fountain.

Era um dia de sol ( como costumava ser em Búzios ). Depois de brincar quase o dia inteiro com os seus coleguinhas, uma garotinha chamada Marta, estava sedenta. Naquele tempo não havia nenhuma rua das pedras. Somente um caminho estreito ligava o lugar que Marta estava a uma vilazinha de pescadores chamada Búzios. Ela procurou por uma fonte mas não havia nenhuma nas redondezas. Marta caminhou sozinha por algum tempo. Então ela viu uma mulher vestida de branco, sorrindo para ela. A mulher permanecia de pé e perguntou a ela : Você está com sede, garotinha ? Marta respondeu prontamente : Sim, senhora. Onde posso beber água ? A gentil e sorridente senhora disse : Vá em frente minha querida , você vai encontrar uma fonte no seu caminho. Marta agradeceu a mulher e logo encontrou a fonte. Quando Marta virou-se para ver a mulher, não havia ninguém lá. A gentil mulher desapareceu. Marta bebeu bastante água e voltou para avisar aos seus amiguinhos que havia uma fonte naquele caminho. Todos sabiam que não havia nenhuma fonte lá antes. Mas Marta mostrou a eles o lugar e todos ficaram surpresos quando ela lhes contou a história.
Moral : Em tempo de sede, alguém que você não conhece, não vai te dar somente um copo mas uma fonte d'água.
